Née au fond des océans, là où l'eau de mer transforme la roche en profondeur.

Elle doit son nom aux Romains, qui trouvaient que son veinage ressemblait à une peau de serpent. C'est une roche née au fond des océans, quand l'eau de mer s'infiltre dans le manteau terrestre et transforme la roche en profondeur. Le vert vient de ce qu'il reste de fer et de magnésium après la réaction.

Ce vert-là, on l'a repris pour toute la marque avant même de savoir qu'on en ferait un sous-main. Sur le bureau, il a du relief là où un aplat serait plat, du mouvement là où un motif serait figé.

C'est la pierre de la maison. Si tu ne devais en essayer qu'une, ce serait celle-ci.

Why 35,00 €

A €15 mat is printed in bulk, cut from a roll, edge left raw. Ours is stitched all the way round and made one at a time, after you order. It costs more to produce, and we would rather tell you than cut corners on the material.

Care

The print sits inside the fibre, not on top of it: it does not flake and does not rub off. A damp cloth and a little mild soap deal with whatever a desk throws at it.

Let it dry flat, in open air. Avoid the washing machine, the tumble dryer and the iron: heat attacks the rubber base long before the fabric. No solvent or alcohol either — they dull the surface.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the desk mat?

One size only: 800 × 400 × 3 mm. It covers a full keyboard, the mouse, and leaves room for an open notebook beside it. Measure the width of your desk before ordering — the size page shows it to scale, with a keyboard and a mouse on it.

Is 80 cm too big?

On a desk under 100 cm wide, yes. The piece would run edge to edge and get in the way of a drawer or a lamp. In that case it is better not to order: there is no smaller size any more. This is advice against the sale, but an object that overhangs ends up being returned.

Does the pad slide during a game?

No. The base is rubber and grips the desk, including varnished wood and glass. At 80 cm wide there is enough material for the weight to do the rest anyway.

Do the edges eventually fray?

That is the most common complaint about large pads, and it comes from models whose edges are simply cut. Here all four sides are stitched all the way round: the thread holds the fibre, and the friction of a wrist does not open it.

What if I do not like the pad?

You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you are sending it back, with no reason needed. The refund is full and comes within 14 days of the return reaching us, to the original payment method.
