POSÉ makes desk mats. That is all.
Why this object
The desktop is the surface we look at most in a day, and the one we take the least care of. We put a screen on it, a keyboard, a cup, and think no more about it. A wide desk mat changes that without asking for anything: it unifies the surface, absorbs the noise of the keyboard, and gives everything else a background to stand out against.
The stance
Almost every desk mat sold today is black, purple and glowing. They are designed to look like gaming equipment. That is a choice, and a defensible one — but it leaves nothing to those who work and play at the same desk and would rather their room did not look the part.
Our patterns come from real materials: stone, foliage, tinted flat colours. They are pale or muted, never bright. Once the desk is set up, a good mat stops being noticed.
How it is made
The pattern is printed by dye sublimation: the colour dyes the fibre rather than sitting on top of it. All four edges are stitched right around, and the rubber base is applied.
The stock is bought ahead and held in France. The house carries the risk, rather than the customer carrying it as waiting time — and a piece you have in your hands can be checked before it is sent.
The size
800 × 400 × 3 mm, and it is the only one. It covers the keyboard, the mouse and whatever sits between them. One size fewer is a stock you can hold properly, rather than three you only half hold.
